If you can not get the information there try here...

http://armurierlavaltrie.com/remkit.html

This is the company in Canada that makes them in the first place.

The other thing you might look at is the the conversion offered by derfhunter on Modern Muzzleloaders Forum...

Sabotloader,
I was under the impression this gun has the 209 primer breach plug already with it.I was looking on brownells and they have a breach plug for sale is there a different nipple or plug for the breach plug?

Thank You
Jason

Correct... the same breech plug is used for cap ignition and 209 ignition. You just swap out the different nipples.

The Remington 209 conversion is terrible dirty. This Canadian Conversion is the better of the two. The Conversion that derfhunter makes might even be better. I even made a bolt conversion to make it more like a bolt and firing pin conversion rather than a plunger/hammer gun.

Just a heads up... if the gun does not have the conversion hammer installed you will need to buy a kit. If you go with a Remington Conversion Kit - the hammer will not work with the Canadian nipple and vice versa....

So the replacement breach plug from brownells will work with a 209 primer and will need to find the nipples?

They can be had just about anywhere... Which nipple are you after? A musket nipple or #11 nipple?

Which hammer is in the gun now a percussion hammer or a 209 hammer?

You will need a 1/4" x 28 nipple.

Yes, a 209 hammer can be universal...
