Default Ebay drives me nuts!

Im on here looking for a stock for my mosin nagant and run across the synthetic stocks. Well i find a good used one and its at $46.50 + $11 shipping. Okay, $56.50 IF thats the stopping point on bids.

I look though more listings and theres brand new stocks for $60 + free shipping.. Its like what the heck Why would you only pay a few dollars less for something used when you can get it brand new for again, a few $$ more.

i swear people on ebay go and bid their own stuff up.

MD - I always shop around on Ebay and check all similar items for the best price. Used and new. I just purchased a Browning halographic sight for $39.99 + $4.99 shipping. ($44.98 total). Almost bought the same thing for $49.99 because it had free shipping. But I saved myself $5 by shopping around.
Some people on Ebay think they're stuff is worth its weight in gold. Others just want to sell their stuff they don't use or no longer need and make a few bucks. But I know there is a lot of 'pumping up the price' there. Ebay does check for patterns like one person always bidding on another's to raise the price. When that happens both the seller and the bidder get a notice. I know someone who actually got one of these notices.
