Default Slow

One of my pet peeves is slow forums. I can only handle a page taking 1 minute to load for so long. I don't see anywhere that it's being worked on.

Is this a permanent condition?

They were doing OK for a little while. But agreed...lately this website has been very slow. It is frustrating because I do enjoy the site and learn a great deal. What is also frustrating is that the owners/admins do not post a "we know there is a problem and we are working on it..." post.

I noticed the problem for the last week or so also. But it sure is loading fast today. Somebody must have done something good.

I'm sure most of us do. I have a 20 meg connection. All my other forums (30) load as fast as I can click them. This forum has been slow since the day I joined.

Sometimes while waiting for a page to load on this forum I can go load 10 other forums. There's a problem here.

Good to hear. I thought I was the only one with the issue. I hope they fix it soon.

This site has always been slow no matter what O/S or browser ive tried. Even using AdBlock Plus to filter out the garbage with Mozilla its slow. The only way i found to make it run faster is with Opera running from a bootable CD under Mini Win XP.
