Default Knight LRH bolt

As mentioned in an earlier thread ,I was waiting on a LRH. It arrived today . The bolt is a cast bolt. You can see where the bolt has been ground and worked on to get it to fit. My Knights are my best shooting guns and hopefully this one shoots as good as the old Knights. The bolt is tight fitting and doesn't go in or come out as smoothly as on my old Knights. It takes a little jiggling. I don't think the quality , at least of the bolt is comparable to the older Knights. I hope gun overall is comparable. I plan on mounting a scope tomorrow and trying it out. I will try to take a picture of the bolt

Yea me too. One question for you.I thought Knight was staying with Green Mountain barrels> The barrel says licensed by E.R. Shaw inc. I thought E R Shaw and Green Mountain were two different companies. Know anything about this?

E.R. Shaw is the company that puts the flutes in the barrel. And they label the barrel also. The barreled action still comes from Green Mountain...

I looked at your pictures... I would not keep that bolt - I really believe Gordy will make it right....

Oh Ok thanks. I remember the fluting being mentioned a few years ago when the Knight team was being promoted.back in 2006 I believe. I forgot about that.

Is that one of the Limited Edition LRH's that Knight was selling? If so for the price you paid they should have given you a jeweled bolt. I would definitely let them know.

Yes it is. It was a present for the wife for Christmas. I was told they had a bolt tolerance problem so it didn't make it til now.
