Default TK2000 steel/non-toxic shot

Ok, so I bought a new TK2000 with the extra-full jugchoke, Knight said no steel shot but said guys were shooting "heavi Shot" with no problems. Researched heavi shot and found out that it supposed to only be fired through steel shot approved guns. I want to use this gun for waterfowl as well as turkey. I was thinking bismuth as they recomend it for thin walled/older guns but cringe at the price. So if anybody has use this gun for waterfowl could you help me out here with some info or reasuring words!

ITX shot seems to be very similar to tungsten-matrix. It's safe for all barrels and less expensive than bismuth.
