Default Range trip with the Vision...

Had a chance to get to the range today to sight in my new Vision. I had to wait in between 20 mph wind gust to shoot, but I'm pretty tickled with the way it shot... 100 grains of BH 209, 300 grain Barnes Expander MZ in a HPH 24, and a CCI 209m. Three shots at 100 yards measured just under one inch.

Very nice ! I don't have one, but one of my hunting buddies does but hasn't shot it yet.

Are you using the original breech plug ? How was the blow back ?
Maybe it was the Knight "Shadow" where Knight offered a replacement plug for BH209.

Anyway nice looking rifle... good luck with it.

It has the new carrierless plug that works great with BH. Blow back is reduced fairly well with this plug but it does have a little that escapes into the action.

nice shooting.
my friends and my vision are both blowback free.we both shoot win.209 primers(the longest).the vision, shadow and kp1 can all use the same plug.the flat face plug that came with the vision has been 100% reliable for me using blackhorn......karl

Very nice

I still have hopes for a new Vision model with a few improvements. I don't really want one but IMO its almost good enough to compete against most cheaper break actions. The hammerless design and "centerfire" style safety have a lot of potential with good marketing.

Get Lehigh to make them a good clean breach plug and add a trigger of typical Knight quality and you got a home run. Add a multi ML barrel package and you got a grand slam.

I think the Vision had/has ALOT of potential. It seems like every Vision i have read about has shown great accuracy in the range reports. It's a shame it didn't catch on any more than it did. I like the unique hammerless design. I wish somebody(Warne, Durasight, or Weaver GrandSlam) would make a nice one-piece scope mount base for the Knight break-actions.

Talking

I have the same setup as you and get the same results. However, I don't use the same load. I am using 95 grs. of BH209 and the Hornaday 350 gr. FPB bullet.

I recently got my hands on some of the 300gr. FPB. I think I will take them to the range tomorrow and give them a try.

I only have one complaint on the Vision. The butt stock is too long. I will have to cut it down an inch. Aside from that, I love it.
