Question traditions

I own a traditions persuit lt with a traditions scope. A couple years ago i missed a buck with it and found scope was off. I changed scopes and could not sight in. I took scope off. I recently tried to sight scope in again this year. No luck. I bought new mounts by weaver, no luck. I changed scopes again and can get close but have come down as far as possible as well as far left as possible. Everything looks like it should. Any ideas?

It sounds like the scope needs to be shimmed. In your case with your past history, I would take the rifle to a qualified gunsmith and have them mount the scope, bore sight it, and even test fire it. Granted it will cost you a few buck, but the next buck you will probably connect with.

Have you bore sighted it? I have a Pursuit 2 XLT. My set up is a Leupold VX2 - 1X4 , Weaver base, and Millet medium rings. I bore sighted and then had it zeroed at 50 yards with 3 shots. It sounds like your base mounting screws might be misaligned.
