Default first outing with cast bullets

hit the range today.
temp 45degree
winds 5mph constant and 15 mph gust
gun: knight usak, tasco 3-9x40 win mag #11
powder: 85grs triple 7
sight in with surefires and 250gr xtp tc sabots.

first up 452 (sized to 251) drops at 260gr avg wheel weight knight sabots, loaded really tight
I have no idea what happen with the first shoot

Lee 45cal improved minie sized to 451. drops at 314gr. have work to do on them.

man, the muzzleloader gods visited me hard today. dry balled an round, went to removed the breech plug. since I lost my breech plug wrench i been using an 7/16 bit and an long screwdriver. the breech plug would not budge. called it a day. stopped by biglot picked up an 6in socket extension and an new socked set.. then stopped by an gun shop and broke down and bought an new breech plug wrench.

did not get to fire off the last 10 loads.

what did I learn.
need alot of work on the sized down 45cal improves and figuring on the 452s either sabot, load, or both.

over all still got to shot, learned a few things. wish I got another 5 shots off of each. chit happens
