Default Thompson Center Omega

I found a used Thompson Center Omega like I've been wanting for sale. It's got the camo stock and a stainless barrel. The owner says it's about 3 years old and has no rust. What's a good price for this gun?

Is there anything special to check out on these models? I'm wondering if I should buy it, or if I should pass this one up?

If the Omega is in good shape, then I would not worry too much about passing it up. If you can get it for a good price. As for what it is worth... if it were brand new, a lot. But it is not. And the owner wants to sell. Ask the for what they want and go from there.

Go on some of the gun auction sites and look at Omega. People are asking too much and they just sit there and are never sold. Yet some take less money and can move them.. Good place to judge prices.

Well, I wanted this rifle, as I'd like an Omega, but it doesn't look like it's meant to be. The seller and I agreed on $200 for it, and I was hoping to meet him tonight since he was 2 hours away and I was halfway there today. His phone started breaking up and he told me he'd call me back when he got better signal. I never got a call back, and I called him a few times this afternoon only to get his voice mail. I'm not sure what happened, but I figure it's not meant to be and maybe it's telling me that I don't need another muzzle loader.

I figured $200 would be a decent price. I see them going for a little more than that on Gunbroker and a lot more than that new, but I really don't know what they are worth.
