Default Thumbs down for RCBS Customer Service

Boys, i can tell you now, start bringing buckets of water to dump on me because i am boiling right now!

UPS dropped off a new RCBS Ammomaster Chronograph to replace the one that would no longer turn on for me.

Put a brand new battery into the new set up, NOTHING! Same damn problem the broken one had! Hooked it up to direct power and nothing!

I just sent them an email and we'll see what they do to fix this. $150 for this set up and the new one didnt even work right out of the box!

Too bad. That kind of stuff can really get your dander up.

My first $89 Competition Electronics ProChrono lasted over twenty years. Never a problem except when I put a sabot to its face and it cost $40 to repair. Last year it started giving funky readings after being dropped on concrete. I think the sensors were knocked loose or out of alignment. I replaced it with the $99 ProChrono Pal, which I'm very happy with.

Does RCBS make any other chronos? Their website it a real pain to sort through, and their search is worthless. I cant even find the ammo master on their website.

I don't know anything about this chronograph, but I bet RCBS does not make it. I am not a fan of the Competion Electronics Pro Chrono, even though I have one, but it is reliable and durable. It sounds like they are trying to make it right for you. If it gets to be too much of a hassle, look at a Pro Chrono. You can get them for around 100 dollars. Keep in mind that these type of inexpensive chronos are + or - 3% accurate. They can be used to see if you are gaining or losing but don't trust them for absolute accuracy.

I hope they get it worked out for you. Pact overnighted me a new computer for mine at their cost when I had an issue and they tested it first.

Some of the best coustomer service I have ever had was with RCBS who is still sending repair partsfor a loading press and dies I bought nearly 40 years ago.
Shop Vac is another company I will deal with after they sent a new vac motor to replace one I though only needed a new on off switch with in 3 days of a call to them.
Wish Allaidan hadas goodof customer service as the abovetwo companys.

i found a youtube video of a guy reviewing the ammomaster and his right out of the box wouldnt turn on lol! They are only open mon - thur. so i was up the creek when i called them friday morning.

I sent an email requesting a return packing label as i will not pay on my own dime for their screw up with a POS product. I'd be embarrassed to even sell something so bad like these things!

Do they make other chronographs?
