Default what an pita to clean the win apex 45

pulled my load out of my win apex tonight from hunting season. load up with an bh209 and an powerbelt.

Ran an patch of windex, light brown patch. couple more windex, light brown patches. frustration sets in, had an can of t7 foam, sprayed it, light brown foam, stepped out for an smoke and let it soak. came back, ran an patch light grey.

few more windex patches, finally clean patch after 6 patches. ran an isoalcohol patches, light brown and chunks of plastic? i only fired an handful of sabots out of this gun. ran an jb bore paste patch 100 to 200 strokes.

about an hour more cleaning after that.

nice shiney barrel. oiled the out side and in, oil in the action.

cleaned the stock windex 5 mins, down. lol

set up my gun work table. taking measurements on the stock to get ready for the project.

what an long long night

that's why I like a SS Barrel, Cleaning is so much easier. Is the Win Apex like the CVA Kodiak?

Actually i think its nearly the same as the Kodiak Pro with a couple cosmetic differences. My old WinApex was a good gun for the money and a very clean shooter AFTER getting an improved breach plug.

Yea I thought so, I have both the Kodiak and Kodiak Pro, there both retired though. They were both good shooters but a Pain in the Butt to clean with the Action attatched to the Barrel. I got them both at good prices so I cant complain, now there in My MLer Archives

I have a Kodiak Pro, takes longer to clean the BP than the rest. I remove the BP, stuff a patch in the hole, spray some Barrel Blaster in from the muzzle, stuff a patch in that end, let it sit for a couple minutes, drain, 3 patches later-spotless. A brush in the BP threads, done.....except for the BP LOL.
