This year's Euro Mounts, xmas present, & Red dot sight
Well I've said it for awhile that I was going to post pics. So here they are! My muley and antelope I shot this year with my TC Bone Collector. Also a pic of my new safe that I got for xmas. Its already full though. Also I remember someone posted a question about red dot sights on a sidelock. So there is a pic of that. I havn't bought a scope for my .54 and I had an extra red dot sight so I thought I would try to use it and see what happens. I deceided to wait on getting the flintlock kit. Cabelas also had a sale going on for alot of guns. I really wanted to get my son a Ruger rifle. So I pick up a 243 win Ruger Model 77 Hawkeye. Going to have the floorplate engraved with is name and birthdate. So i'm pretty excited for that. His too young to understand yet, but the time will come, probably too soon. I take them to a friends, but he does the same thing. Boils and then bleaches. Its funny this year in Montana. None of the euro mounts came out pure white. We had such a wet year that there is still fat in the skull. Made them alittle white and gray. The bear skulls were the worse though. He even boiled mine twice and bleached it twice ! When we antelope hunted this year you know its a wet when the "dry" plains had mushrooms growing!!! Good eating though.
Yeah that safe was real fun taking down the in basement. Almost crushed my dad's leg at the bottom! I don't know how I'm going to take it back up if we move.
