You say you went with the longer version? I went with the CHEAPER version. I haven't shot her yet. I might try to get to the range on Tuesday. If I go I'll be sure to post the results. I need to refinish the stock. I'm afraid I'll mess it up though. All in all, not too bad for a total investment of $160.00. And I still have the .54 cal. barrel to play with.

Nice lookin gun Pluck. I wouldn't refinish it.Just put something on it to protect it from the elements.That is really great for a $160 investment.

Very nice!!!

I would only make sure all the metal is clean and protected. The stock looks fine and any battle scars or aging give it some character IMO. Plus if you spend a bunch of time refinishing the stock you might get a bit over protective with it.

You have a shooter...enjoy it.

I'm sure that's what I'll end up doing. After all, it is meant for hunting, not hanging on a wall.
