Default A solution to my problem??!?

As some of you know I have been searching for a 1:28, .50 cal flintlock barrel for my T/C Hawken with no success. Calling the shops around, I got the name of a barrel maker that will ream the 1:48 T/C barrel and install a sleeve with any twist I want. The person that recommended him said he has been shooting one of these barrels for years competitively with good success.
Barrel is being sent out tomorrow and when I get it back I will be running it through the wringer to see how it shoots.
But it got me thinking, this may be a good solution for anyone having a pitted barrel. The cost for the work is $150 - which is very reasonable.

also it might be possible to have a barrel rifled with a specific twist for a projectile in mind. Like the 1-24 White barrel for instance. Very interesting. I will be looking forward to your results.
