Default Load question

Several years ago i was looking for a muzzleloader and narrowed it down to a savage and a knight LHR. I got the savage because it was cheaper. When knight was closing their doors cabelas clearanced off the remaining knights so i bought one. I was trying out some hornady sst and some of the scorpions. The knight was shooting 1" groups at 100 yards with 300 grain scorpions and the black harvester crushed rib. My problem is the load in not tight at all my 2 year old could load it. I had some mmps and they were a tight load but the group really opened up. With a load that loose is that going to be a problem?

Thanks

As long as the load does not shift off the charge, you should be fine. I shoot a slip fit conical bullet all the time and they are very accurate.

Be very careful about the load shifting, It will act as an obstructed barrel. This can be very bad.
