Default a few years ago

I shot these two bucks a few years ago with a ml. Both were shot with my White G-series Whitetail. The first buck is a 9pt 20 inch not a bad buck for the Arkansas river bottoms, the second was shot up in in the hills, he is a 8pt with a 18 inch spread.black river buck.JPG

greg them are great bucks no matter where you shoot them. Very nice.

What were you using out of that White? I have a Bison which is a G series and its a great little rifle. I am always looking for a better load. What kind of distance did you shoot? Is the rifle scoped? What powder charge? Projectile? and did you get pass through?

Again, nice bucks!

Dave:
The second buck which I shot first was with a 460gr super slug that came from Doc White over 90gr of Pyro P Dynamite knobel percussion caps. He was standing broadside at 80 yards bullet entered behind the shoulder and exited, destroying both lungs, he took about 2 or 3 hops and dropped. The first buck pic I shot in a rice field chasing a doe, couldn't get him or her to stopped, his mind was one one thing. I shot him at a distance just under 100 yards running. I don't like to take running shots to much, but he was in the open and I had plenty of time. Shot him with TC maxi bullet 370gr over 100gr of pyro P with dynamite knoble caps. The bullet went through both shoulders and he piled up nose first right into the field. The TC maxi is what I shoot out of my G-series now, its really an accurate load out to about 150 yards. I have tried it at 200 yards but there is to much drop at that range for me to shoot at a deer with it. I would like to find a bullet that has a higher BC that shoots well out of my rifle and would do better at longer ranges. What do you shoot out of your Bison?
