i have used the extreme elites before have not taken game with them but have with the qts i would not recommend istalling the loading tip in your ram rod if its going to stick out past the end of your bore lost a nice six pointer that way sabot hit the tip and sent the shot way low they were very accurate both the extremes and the qts

Very accurate, they have the same point of impact as the hornady sst's in my setup.

They work very well on game. I have been using them in my 1/48 twist Lyman DeerStalker Flintlock.

CVA Apex .45 cal. With Nikon Omega 3X9X40 BDC
100g BH 209, CCI 209M primers, & Precision Rifle 260g Dead Centers.
This was my hunting load for Kansas muzzleloader season.
Took a doe at 20 yards and she ran 55 yards. Complete pass thru the boiler room. Took a 6pt buck at 10 yards, DRT. Neck shot on the buck.

Ive shot the 45x40 250gr tipped version called a QT aka Cabelas Extended Range. They shoot pretty well if you dont drive them too hard. The softer lead even in a sabot usually has a little less fps than a similar weight jacketed bullet.

Never tried them in any 50cal though but a few of the 50x40s look interesting. A bit too expensive for my tastes for a lead bullet.

Thanks for the imput. I was just looking for something with a good BC that was cheaper to shoot than SST. Although I'm getting great groups with the SST's
