Talking 8 pointer i shot opening day of mezzeloading here in NC

I harvested this buck opening day of muzzeloading here in NC, date of harvest was November 6, 2010.
I used my .50 cal CVA Wolf with triple seven Pellets (100 grain) and 240 grain shockwave hollow points, he was out about 75 yrds and run about 40-50 yrds after the shot, after getting the deer out of the woods and ready for processing we found the bullet in side the deer and was mushroomed out perfectly and done massive damage to the inerds.

heres one of me and the the 8 pointer at the tag in.

heres one of the buck up close

heres 2 pics of the bullet extracted from the inerds.

congrats on your great Harvest! :-)

Your Bullet? Is it possible that it was actually a 240 gr XTP? A great Mushroom with evenly spaced petals, and a hint of canular looks a lot like a XTP and not a Shock Wave. Shock waves are Plastic tiped bullets.

Great looking smile in that first photo.
