What does everyone think of the Hornady FPB Bullets???
So far I have been very impressed with them. I was shooting the 350gr. version and I put a hole in a bobcat bigger than the size of my fist, my son also shot a opossum dang near completly in half only thing holding it together was a little skin and part of the spine. The spine was all mangled up.
I am shooting it with 90gr of T7 and they group great! Also I have been able to get more shots between cleaning than I have with any bullet I have tried before, I guess it is the fact it has no plactic on them and don't leave the plastic residue in the barrel??
I have yet to shoot a deer with them though and I am wondering if anyone used them and with what success. I am pretty sure they will do the job just fine.
I am going to try the 300gr. bullets in about a week to see if I can get the same grouping as I do with the 350gr. for a little more speed and range. I have a Managed Muzzleloader Deer hunt right after X-Mas. I harvested a deer during firearms deer season with my rifle so I have to set out the Muzzleloader portion.
I like them. They have performed well on the 5 deer I have shot with them, all passthroughs, ranges from about 30 to 100. I shoot the 350s in my Genesis over 100 gr loose pyrodex.
I have yet to use them during hunting. At the range, they are awsome! I am using 90 grs. of BH 209 and getting great results. I have my Knight Vision set up for the long shots and have not used it in the woods. All my hunting so far, the last two years, have been in the thick stuff.
I have only one complaint on the bullet and that is they are a b***h to load. Other then that, I would recommend them to anyone.

Out of my Genesis, they are really accurate. I have yet to kill a critter with them yet.

I had two bullets lined up that I wanted to try on deer. One being the 350gr FPB and the other the Barnes 250gr TEZ. Both gave me great accuracy on the range and had similar point of impact, out to 100 yards. After taking a deer with the TEZ, I then turned to the FPB's. I had a NEW package all ready to go. Figured I'd put a few on paper, just to check. Well I couldn't get a group better than 4" @ 50 yards. Early I'd been putting them through the same hole @ 50 yards. Not wanting to waste time, I continued with the TEZ, which I took another deer with in our muzzleloader season.
Turns out the NEW package was the issue. Before I'd pre-sized the FPB's by pushing them through my barrel.
TEZ - 100gr BH209 and FPb's - 90gr BH209, from my Triumph.
I took them on a Mississippi hog hunt last year but did not get a chance to test them. I will say one thing, they very well might be the most accurate bullet I've ever shot. I shot them out of 3 1/28 twist and 1 1/48 guns and at 50 yards they all shot 1 hole groups.
