Default Opinions on a good inexpensive m/l

Thinking of getting one for my son for Christmas. I don't want to spend a ton on one right now, so I'm asking for opinions on what you would advise as a "good" but inexpensive m/l. Not interested in a cheap peice of junk, but at this point I'm not interested in a top quality gun either. If anyone has some suggestions based on experience, please let me know.

I've been checking used also to see what is out there.

Thanks!

Check out the CVA Wolf for $167 or the CVA Optima with SS barrel for only $225. I have both and both are excellent shooters. The finger removable breech plug is probably my favorite part on the rifles.

+1 on the Wolf. Very nice rifle, good trigger, good fit and finish. The QRBP is awesome- just twist with your fingers to remove the breech plug. I've only shot mine once, so I can't comment on accuracy, but it did decent the first time out.

If you like Omegas, this place has some deals. The SS/Black 45 is really cheap and are great shooters. The gray laminate SS 50cal is a pretty good deal too.
