Default Traditions pursuit pro

anyone have any probloms with the latch mechanism on these guns? mine doesnt like to latch all the time and when it does sometimes it stays sometimes it blows open when you shoot ( happened to me looking through the scope at a doe) you really got to slam her closed. i loved that gun at 60 yards with my 4x scope i was getting groups less than a inch with 100 grains triple 7 and TC 240 gr. xtps.
just thought id ask even though i just retired it for an omega after the last incident in the woods

That sounds like something I would have Traditions address. No kidding, that kind of thing just should not happen. Send them an email and see what they say.

Being a new guy myself just a thought do you have this problem without a primer in place ? Possible breech plug not tightened up enough and a long (W209) primer being the culprit keeping latch from securing unless closed hard.....

i thought of the breech problem so i tried it without the primer and it does the same thing,

ive had the gun for a couple years now got it back in '04 have it just sitting in the cabinet for now, i love that omega though so i dont think itll come out at all. im gonna email traditions and see what they say

i'd use some carburetor spray and flush out the frame guts and then use a light weight spray oil like birchwood casey barricade.
