What breed of catfish are those?

I used to catch channel cat and blue cat in a river down in Southern Wisconsin. We'd use chicken liver and stink (and I do mean stink) bait. And the neighbor lady was from Arkansas and WOW!! could she cook catfish. I would catch a 5 gallon bucket of them, take them to her, and her husband and I would skin them and then both families would have a catfish feast.

Your right it is a very fishy subject for the BP forum. Those were channel cats, and the water temp was 48 degrees. Ron

Does your son really want to be seen with a pink and powder blue rod?

That rod is his #1 rod. It is a ultra light so he feels the light bite of the cold catfish. When the water is 48 degrees they don't hit they nibble. I use an ultra light rod just not a barbie. ;^) Ron
