Default Should have planned this better

I've been planning on getting out to shoot my muzzleloaders for the last 3 or 4 months. I had a short lived stint with smokeless over the summer before realizing that it wasn't for me. I've taken my Knights out and cleaned them a few times over the summer, but now ML season starts Saturday and today is my last day off before the season starts. Oh, and we're under a winter storm warning. It sounds like it's really supposed to get nasty around noon, so once the wife returns to take over kid duty I'm going to try to sneak out and make sure everything still works before it gets real nasty. I really should have planned things a little better. Oh well.

SuperKirby

I know the feeling, even though i have a Savage and it is a beautiful gun. My Knights or GMB54 get 99% or my attention and are my go to guns for hunting.

I really cant say yet if it is or isnt for me completely but my DISC based guns just feel good in nearly all conditions. My Savage will likely end up a custom 45 and my range queen.

Knights are BORN TO HUNT!!!

Best of luck on the hunt and dont worry about the weather. My opening day looked like a bust (really windy) until the buck trotted across the field and ended up the best opening weekend hunt i can remember.

Good luck in your hunting. I heard about your storm coming in. Sounds like a real whopper. Then it should move over my way. If you sighted them knights in, they will not be far off if at all. But it is good to check them.

Got it done. It was shooting pretty much the exact same place as last year. I was worried since I had the sights off a couple times but nope, everything was good. I moved them right just a little. Last shot was dead nuts on the bull. I realize hitting that with open sights off a bundled up sweatshirt was mostly luck, but I decided to stop there. Wouldn't you know by them time I was done shooting it was starting to snow. And now an hour later it's snowing pretty hard. Bring on hunting season.
I probably wont' be able to go out until Thursday or so, but oh well. I may try to sneak out a morning or two before work we'll have to see.
