Default Thor Bullets for My Omega??

I'm thinking about giving the Thor bullet a try.
I'm now shooting a Hornady SST 250gr Low Drag with 90gr of 777 with great groups.

In Tennessee there's no restriction on using sabot, but I would like to stop dealing with the plastic.

Sure worth a try. Call or email him and ask for his "fit kit" that has 4 different sizes of bullets to size your spefic gun. He has not charged for these in the past. When you get them you can see what size to order. They do pretty well in my Omega, but each gun is different.

If you are after deer, I would order some 250 gr balistic tip bullets and see how they fly

Hornady FPBs also fly pretty well out of my Omega. You might want to give the 300 gr bullets a try. That is the smallest they make and they fly pretty darn flat.

there is a learning curve for both bullets. You will need a short starter. You line them up to the barrel and give them a whap with your free palm to get them started, then load as normal with your ramrod. FPBs rear section is actually bigger than any 50 cal, so you are esentially sizing them to your bore with the short starter.
