Yes, they demonstrate why jacketed bullets were invented if you push them to hard.

I shot some of them many years ago. They were very accurate. I never took game with them. Also at the time I felt they were a little expensive, so I never purchased more of them.

I've used the .357 Dead Center out of a .45. They were very accurate for me, and I have no doubt that they would have worked very well as a deer bullet. I stopped shooting them because they were expensive, and you need a special plastic loading tool on your ramrod to load them, and I didn't want to have to keep that tip on my ramrod when out hunting.

Some people complain about loss of accuracy at higher powder charges, but I never had that problem. Max load I used was 100 grains T7 3f, for a little over 2,000 fps.

I used the 200 gr and two Triple 7 pellets for whitetails for several years. Very accurate and did a great job making a quick kill. Never had to track a deer far because they dropped within sight most of the time. For the number of shots I take with a m-loader per year, the cost doesn't really make much difference.
That said, I took a small buck this year with a Barnes MZ and all I can say is WOW! One deer doesn't prove much, so I'll have to try the Barnes again in our late season.

They are my go to bullets, if the rifle I am using will shoot them accurately that what I use.

The DeadCenters are the best lead bullets i ever used by far. You really need to stay under 2000 fps.
