Good for you. I got skunked during BP season. The wife did shoot a doe during BP season. I shot a 8 point in modern gun. So far three deer in the freezer.

That is a fine doe and plenty of good eating way to go
I use a blackpowder gun during all portions of our firearms seasons as it is just a neat experience. It forces you to make 1 good shot, you either miss or score.

Thanks guys!!!! I use 2 Triple Seven 50 gr. pellets, a 230 gr. T/C jacketed hollow point bullets. My rifle is a CVA 50 caliber Buckhorn. And I have a 4X32 Simmons scope on top. I have just a little over $100 in the gun and scope and I bought it all brand new. You guys would not believe how accurate it is. It is a tack driver!!!! In the 4 yrs. I've had it, I've taken 3 deer and the one year I didn't get a deer, I shot a red fox with it. It is a beginner outfit but until it is broke, I ain't gonna fix it.
