Default Trajectory Help

Hey all.

.50 cal. 100 gr 777 3F.... 250 gr Hornady SST.
Currently 1 in high at 25 yds.

Is there something on the web that will calculate where the bullet should be at 50 and 100 yds? I haven't had enough time to play at the range. Thanks!

I just received an email from Hornady today. I shoot 100gr Pyrodex Pellets under a 250gr. SST from a TC Impact (26" bbl). Hornady stated:

"the velocity with a 100 gr charge is approx. 1890 fps. With a 150 yrd zero, the bullet will impact 2.9" high at 100 yds and 7.2" low at 200 yds. Thanks"

Of course your 777 should boost that velocity a bit. That's quite a bit more arc than they show for a 150 gr. charge, but if you know how high to aim who cares? As long as you hit consistently.

Then you aren't ready to go hunting...Take it to the range and try it at 50, 100, 125 and 150 yards...

Thanks guys.

I'm not anticipating too many opportunities over 30-40 yds based on where I'm hunting.

What will you do if the buck of a lifetime steps out at 125yds? Luck is where preparation and opportunity meet.Go to the range and find your point blank range. Then you will be ready.
