Default Combo guns...Cabelas?

Anyone used the rifle/scope combos from Cabelas? I'm going to Nebraska next month and I'm thinking about getting a muzzleloader deer tag while I'm out there. This would be my first muzzleloader and most likely the only time I will ever use it...

Well there are some good kits from Cabela's. With a little range time you can have a load worked up and be hunting with it. What kind of rifle interests you? Perhaps forum members know of a cheaper place to purchase the item you want or might have some other options for you.

Pretty much any .50 cal with a 209 would work fine...for a one time use I don't really need a nice TC Pro-Hunter or anything like that...

You may want to take a look at used guns in the classified section of this forum.

check www.rrarms.com and see if they still have the CVA Wolf for sale there. That would be an excellent rifle at the kind of price you want to spend. Throw a Simmons Pro Diamond 4x32mm scope on it and your good to 150 yards probably with some practice.

Just picked up a TC Black Diamond XR from a local shop...picked up some supplies from another local shop and went shooting!! Hit some milk jugs at 50, 75 and 100 yards with open sights, think I'm just gonna keep her open sights for now...I kinda like it that way!
