Default homemade #11 capper ideas

I have broke 1 brass capper lost 2 others, went looking locally, either can't find one or wanting over $20. found an 209 breech plug for $23 (red disc) for my knight usak and already have the plunger for it. but it shoots great with #11's. any ideas?

I am think of just taking an piece dowel and place leather on both ends.

ok, i was born blond, found my capper, but ideas for homemade cappers still welcome.

I had that same problem 2 years ago. I lost my capper when hunting and everywhere was sold out. I finally found one though.

I've got an idea. In a pinch, how about using you thumb and fore finger.LOL.

That's what I did, but on some guns it's really extremely hard to get it on there this way when you can't get your fingers anywhere near the nipple.

Well, I guess you could buy a box of toothpicks and glue one cap to the end of each pick.

I can do that with my sidelocks, my knight usak, I can't, i have small fingers I am not able to line the cap up with nipple.

last time up I used painters tape ( had it with me just in case I need to file down an front site on an cap lock). place an cap on the end lined it up, used my pocket knife to push them on.
