I was at the store to day and I picked mp some 45cal 250 grn ftx's. I'm going to be using them with the t/c easy glide sabots. I was wondering how do this bullets perform on deer. How's the expansion and such.

On another note most all the bullets I have been trying put have had the balistc tips in them. Do you guys think that the tips help the flight but hinder the expansion of the bullet? Or do the true hollow points fly just as good with better expansion. Just want to find out what you guys think.

There are lots of variables. Distance, trajectory, but on average.. hollow points fly fine for the distances we hunt with our muzzleloaders. I would suggest a flex tip or pointed for perhaps extreme distances. But from my range experience of 150 yards or less, the hollow points did fine.

The 250 gr FTX was actually designed for the 450 Bushmaster, This is a cartridge gun, a rifle which has a muzzle velocity of 2200 to 2300 FPS. This should be taken into consideration when using them in a muzzle loader. I use them with very heavy loads of Blackhorn 209 and a muzzle velocity similar to what they are designed for and the are very accurate and work well for me. I have heard complaints of them not opening well from those that shoot weak loads.
