Load for new Impact!
May pick up the wife's new Impact tomarrow and am tryng ot decide on a good starter load. Plan on using T7 3f and 200 or 250 shockwaves for now. Kicking around starting out with a 90 grain charge under a 20 Shockwave with CR sabot and work up or down from there. I am hoping to stay with the T7 as it is what I use in my Triumph with great results.
Any thoughts form you year round shooters on this starter load?

I would take several sabots, the first thing about finding a load is to find a sabot that is snug enough without being to hard to load.
The CR is a good starting point, I would also take a short Black Harvester and a MMP HpH 24. It would not hurt to pull the breach plug an try the fit of what ever sabots you have available before you try shooting them if they load to easy or to hard they are unlikely to shoot good any way.

I dont know her recoil level but...
80-90gr with the 200gr and 70-80gr with the 250gr should be a good start.
80gr BH209 and a GoldDot 250 is what we worked up for a friends son. T7 should be pretty close in terms of recoil.

She is not to recoil sensitive, has owned a .308 in the past. She used my dad's Optima last year with 90 grains of APP 2f and a 250 Shockwave and shot it great.
Thanks for the input everyone.

T7 is a bit more powerful than APP and the Impact is a bit lighter than the Optima, so it should be close with a little less T7.
