fun at the range

when I got to the range today, the rifle part was full, one hour later still full, I headed to the 25 yard (pistol) range, started with shooting with an local shooting forum group, had an blast, so no go on the on the planned range session.

my knight usak, has an new hunting load if it works out at 50 past, 90grs of app 3f, 240gr xtp 430 with tc green sabot. nice groups at 25yards, was destroying clays at 35 to 45yrs. can using 251 250 gr xtp with the same charge, hit an 3" ball at 25yrds.

tried to get bh 290 and 275grs to work but a little shot gun look to the pattern. had some bore buttons,
win apex 45cal, 70grs of bh209, 275gr powerbelt hp on top an bore button. may have something with that.


wishing I brought my 9mm.

It sounds like you have found a good load with the 3f APP and your Knight. Are you compressing that BlackHorn 209 good and hard? Maybe the powerbelt is too loose fitting for that powder.

50yrds both the loads where bad, went again today, went back to what I was working on, not counting the clean bore shots, 2 in group to the left.
