Well we took a drive out to the west side section of Spanish Peaks State Wildlife area.
On the way we stopped and i got out of the truck and took pictures of Lynx 20 yards away from me! He was pretty awesome. He came walking out of the trees and then laid down in the field, yawning and started licking his paws! I wish i had brought the video camera with me
Getting close to the SWA 7-9 turkeys crossed the road and headed up into the oak brush.
Looked around where we will be hunting Nov 6th and headed back out to another area just to find easier access points.
On the way back we decided to swing by the first area again and we ran into the local DOW officer. He said he just pulled a 6x6 bull out for a hunter. Today was opening day and the guy drilled a real nice bull.
Oh i forgot! Before running into the DOW, a small brownish red bear ran across the road!
I'll post some pics of the Lynx later on tomorrow when i down load them off the camera.
