Default knight usak scope check and 54cal hawken first outing

I was fearing the scope on my usak was shoot. so I took it out 8 shots only. with an friend and an 4 hour session is not his thing.
usak at 50yrds or so 90grs of pyrodex rs 240gr tc sure shot blister pack (known load used for basic sight in) swabbed between
first shot. scope to the forehead. every time I do any scope work or new load work I take an scope in the head with this gun.

first shot went high to the left. second high to the right. 3rd high to the lift about 2in higher then the first. 4th split the deference, scope adjustment. 5th the adjustment did not take. put it in the same hole as the 4th. 6th high and still a little to the left. let my friend shot he was high to the right. he never shot the gun before. 8th shot total, touching the 6th shot.

think there is anything wrong with my scope?

54cal hawken. no rear sight just an bug work out and fun shot time

took 10 strike to get the cap to fire. on the second shot the hammer would not hold back on full ****. fixed that problem with in minutes. as for the cap firing remembered on the way home. I put an old worn out nipple on it to make sure the lock and trigger group was working right. can anyone say blond moment.

Not necessarily. Could be any number of things; loose mounts, old powder, the gun doesn't like the load, erratic loading technique, shooter worrying about getting hit in the head.

Just the manner you hold a rifle, address the stock, and breath while shooting can all effect where it will hit down range. I personally like the rifle to surprise me when it goes off. The main thing is make sure you are good and firm behind the stock, and your cheek is always in the same spot.

Or maybe you're just loopy.
