Default TC Hawken Loads

What are some good primitive loads for a tc hawken? Full bore lead conicals and patched round balls? I didnt keep mine long enough to work up loads so now i am in a pinch LOL

mine kinda likes 70 grains of t7 and a 370 gr maxi-ball with a bore button. Never have gotten it to shoot "good"

My T/C Hawkins shoot real well with 85 grains of 2f powder and a patched .018 roundball .490. It also shoots the .503 Bullshop conicals pretty good with 70 grains of Triple Seven 3f.

90 grains ffg Goex or 10 percent less fffg goex and a 370 grain maxi ball. Just plain deadly out to 75 yards with some drop compensation when zeroed at 50. This will be my first year in about 20 or so not using my TC Hawkins, now that I have 2 new Inlines. I'm sure I'll break her out again one day but for now I've retired her.

My 50 cal. flinter loves 90 gr. of goex 3F pillow patched .018 blue@white Hornady 490 ball
I tried some 325 SSB Buffalo sabots with 85 Gr. of 3F man just one Hole group at 50 yards:Has to be a deadly bullet
funny the older t/c barrel (Douglas made ) shoot them better then patched RB

Yes, That is the conical that shoots the tightest groupin mine.
I use 90 gr P and a felt wad with a bit of olive oil on it.
