Having read more than one post indicating a ignition problem using the new plug and BH209, i decided to proceed with a cure.

Beins' how i have never experienced a misfire/hangfire in my Omega or Triumph whilst using BH209, i have come to the belief that a 'powder pocket' like what is found in the TC breech plugs provides 100% reliability. A way to make a powder pocket in a QRBP is to use a vent liner, and drill a concavity for it to fit into. The diameter of the pocket in this case is 5/16", and the rim of the vent liner was reduced from 3/8" to fit.

The QRBP costs $25 shipped, and a vent liner costs about $5. This sure is a lot more money compared to making a breech plug with a powder pocket, for the pre-2010 CVA rifles, which can be readily done using a grade 8 bolt that costs $1.60.

Currently i am involved in making a QRBP from a grade 8 bolt, but it is quite labor intensive, compared to making a breech plug for the pre 2010 CVA rifles. Also, i don't think the results will be as 'clean'.

I have sent my QRBP to Ron for mods as well as OEM Accura plug to be drilled out with a powder pocket, will post pics when I get em back.

That will be great! Don't come during the Rally if you don't want to deal with hundreds of thousands of bikers, unless you enjoy that type of thing. Perhaps you can improve my technique.
