Default Range Report-TC Encore

Gun: TC Encore .50
Scope: Zeiss 4X32 Conquest
Bullet: 250 grain Shockwave
Powder: 100 grains Pinnacle 3F
Primer: Winchester shotgun

Ft. Sill deer muzzleloading season comes in next week. Went to the range to check the zero of my Encore with the 350 grain FPB bullets. My 3 shot groups at 100 meters usually run about 4" when using that bullet with 100 grains of Goex Pinnacle 3F. Not today; my three shot group at 100 meters was over 7". Decided that it was too broke to fix and brought the target back to the 50 meter line.

Loaded the gun with a 250 grain Shockwave bullet and 100 grains of 3F Pinnacle. Fired two shots and made some bold scope adjustments. Luckily, this put me on target. The three shot group measures 1". Quit while i was ahead.

Nice thing about this gun is the fact that it shoots the 250 grain Shockwaves and the 200 grain Shockwaves to the same point of impact.

BTW: i had a primer fail to fire today. First one in several years. That gun has the extra strong hammer spring from Bellms so it was not a light primer strike.

Will hit the range again tomorrow.

The 250s suit my fancy. My Omega doesn't hate 'em near as much as deer do with 130gr RS.

that is some fine shooting with them Shockwaves. I am sure a deer will not like them but your rifle sure does.
