Default Hmmmm

Was checking out a writers website and now notice he's pushing for charges of 80 to 100 grains max for muzzle loaders. He says you dont need any more than that.

Wonder if his smokeless loads are equal to 80-100gr Blackhorn?

You don't compare smokeless loads with blackpowder loads. That's like comparing apples with oranges.

Pushing as in making that a law or just his opinion? My opinion is that you probably don't need more then a 100 grains to accomplish what you need to but more importantly, I would defend anyone's right to use what ever they want to.

it really depends on the bullet/sabot I think. I couln't get the 300 grain gold dots to tighten up in my gun until I started using 110-120 grains
