Ok all you powder Gods here is a question for you. I am currently using BlackMag3. I am probably going to pyrodex RS. If I am using 50 grains of BM3, what would that equal in RS?

You have to shoot it, you are handloading, anytime you change a component you must test to see what happens to the groups...

I would suggest to you that I think BM3 to be more powerful than RS. The exact amount I am not sure - probably in the neighborhood of 10% - if the BM3 were fresh.

As nchawkeye said the best way to know for sure is to shoot it and verify....

This might help a little. As for the accuracy of the information, I can not swear to. But the information is put out by a reputable company.

Oh no worries about checking the group. Just seeing if there was a base line I could work from instead of starting at the beginning again.
