Default Buffalo Bullets

Anyone ever shot the 385gr Buffalo bullets out of a 1:28 twist? I never had any luck with them in the past but Cayugad gave me a box. I figured i'd try them in the Hunterbolt with 70gr BH209 and see how they do at 50 yards. I think the best group i could get out of them before at 50 was 4". I forget which rifle i used though.

That was one reason I sent some to you. I just can not get them to group. I decided I will melt them down. I've tried them in about every twist you can think of and never can get them to group.

crap! I loaded one into the Hunterbolt and while it was tight as sin at the muzzle, once it went in i could have seated it with blowing down the barrel. My light weight plastic ramrod actually pushed it down on the powder. Theres certainly no way i'd be able to hunt with them but we'll see what its like on a fouled bore.

Is the lube really dried out and hard?

They shoot really good out of my 1-56 twist underhammer. I use the 45 cal 220gr.

Well after 5 primers and pushing the bullet back down onto the powder its a no go. They fit way to loose and the powder wont go off. I have some 360 minie balls i cast ready to go. See how they fit and if it goes off.
