Here's a report on one of my favorite fishing spots.

Sorry to hear that Van. It is just a bummer no matter how you cut it. I hope they can make things right again.

I was watching a news report that was addressing the damage of the oil coming in, and like the reporter said... I can't really describe it (shaking his head). He looked really upset.

Sorry to hear about your missing honey hole...

Sorry to hear that your favorite fishing spot is spoiled. This oil blowout is truly an awful thing. They say that the oil slick is the size of Kansas.

Sad to say the least and it all boils down to greed.

Van,
It is my feeling that our goverment....Obama included... first and foremost responsiblity is to protect the citizens and property of this wonderful country. Where in the hell is our Army corp of engineers and others with some form of background to deal with this?
The ones that will be affected the most are not well represented in DC. Put that type of problem in the Potomac river near DC and see how fast things get done. This whole topic makes most people sick to there stomach. I only hope things are done to help recover the gulf for all aspects not just your honey hole for fishing.
Chuck

It's a shame and won't be cleaned up during your lifetime...I can't understand our "leaders"...They should be looking 50 years down the road, instead we get a knee jerk reaction when something like this happens...

The rivers in eastern NC have warning signs about how much fish you can eat from that area because of mercury in the water from the coal fired electrical plants that are several hundred miles away in the Piedmont area...This is insane...We are posioning our planet and yet we want to spend billions of dollars trying to change governments and policies in other countries...

We need to mind our own business, close our own borders, get oil from up in Alaska and send illegals back where they belong...I'm sick and tired of paying more and more in taxes to a bunch of morons that can't make an intelligent decision...And are so greedy they would sell their own grandmom into slavery...

No morals, no ethics, no backbone, no idea how our country was founded and how it got to the position that is is currently in...

I always wanted to bring my boat down there for a couple of weeks and explore the great fishing you guys have. I am hoping not all of your area is destroyed. I would like to come down there some day. We are all praying for you guys down there. I hope they get it cleaned up fast for you guys.

I am not there. So I may be wrong. But it seems to me that everyone is worried about who is at fault. Or all the red tape. I would think they would muster everything they could to get it stopped, and cleaned up. There is plenty of time for blame and politics later. Now is not the time for that. Now is the time for action!!! Tom.
