Talking Sabots for Round Balls???

I was in my local toy shop and noticed these sabots on the wall. I had never seen anything like before. Well I picked one pack up to try; I will try just about anything once.

But my question is how do they shoot??? Anyone have any experience with them? I will be trying them out here shortly. And hope to have a range report on my experience with them.

I don't know! Never heard of that... What are you going to shoot it out of? My guess is that maybe a saboted RB would stabilize better out of a faster rifling than a PRB would out of fast rifling. But if you have faster rifling you might as well shoot a saboted bullet. Only one way to find out though!

I'm like you. Gotta try *almost* everything once!

careful. Unless I'm mistaken every rifle maker tells you not to shoot them. I know knight does or did.

It depends on which one you are talking about, I ringed a fine custom barrel a few years back trying a sabot for round balls if its the one that does not extend past the ball at least a quarter inch then do not ruin a barrel to fine out they don't work well. Lee
