John Smith from Butler Pa joined me in a late ML season in Ohio. It was his first time using an inline and he had alot of fun. I let him borrow my T/C Triumph topped with a Nikon Omega BDC scope, 130grns of BH209 and a 250grn Lehigh bullet. Here is one of the two Doe's he shot last year.
So now he started shooting some Knight Muzzleloaders to try and figure out what he wants to purchase. After we left the range he said he will be buying a bolt action Knight rifle. Here are some pics of targets he shot at 100yds with the Knight Vision, and the Knight Super Disc.
This is a Picture of his spring Gobbler before he shot with a Remington 1187 Shotgun.
Nice! It's always cool when you can get another person involved in muzzleloading... or hunting for that matter. I'm sure he'll be just as crazy about smoke poles as the rest of us are. Are you talking him into joining the forum?

He got started with the right brand rifle. It is pretty tough to beat a Knight rifle. Now if you can talk him into getting up on that rifle for a good cheek weld?? Tom.

We need to stop using these terms today, "Sniper Rifle", "Tactical", "Assault Weapon".

The ML is unloaded in this picture. I had him take his shooting glasses off for some pictures. He normally has pretty good form.
[quote=NamGrunt;3632246]Hi all: Yes I'm new to the 'Ole Smoke Pole" but I slid out the shoot with a BB Gun in hand at birth. I am very fortunate to have Grouse45 as a mentor and the pics. posted allowed me to have groups like he submitted.
Welcome NamGrunt and yes Tom is a good mentor and good luck finding the right gun. I think todays choices in firearms are good as they have ever been. If you search around it seems ever gun is good for sub 1" at 100yds once you figure out the powder bullet combo.
