I'm hoping to get my daughter involved, but she is hell bent on being a vegetarian like her mother. Ever have a conversation with a 9 year old who thinks we shouldn't eat meat at all?

Getting a child interested in firearms at an early age is a very good thing. It establishes a good relationship with them. It also give you a chance to teach firearm safety with them on a person level. A level that young people are more incline to accept. Plus just the working with them on solving things and sharing their triumphs is a great thing.

I think it is great that you are teaching the young to shoot. Even with a BB gun.

Getting them started young teaches respect for firearms and who knows she might turn out to be a good hunting buddy in future years. Hopefuly all the boys she will date will be into firearms and hunting. Congrats on getting her started.
