Default Fess Parker...

As most have probably heard, Fess Parker passed away yesterday...He was 85...In a bit of irony, Daniel Boone also died when he was 85...

Thanks Fess...You influenced many of us and instilled a love of muzzleloaders and American History in me when I was a youngster...

We'll see you over the next hill...

I have some wounderful memories of watching Fess Parker every Sunday night. They surely don't make those guys anymore or those programs, what a shame. He will be missed.

I think most people over the age of 50 remember Fess Parker real well. He was a well know actor on stage and screen. He was Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett to many young kids. I sure enjoyed his programs.

It is sad to see the greats go to meet their maker. There is some mighty big shoes that Fess Parker left behind that need filling. You will be missed.

Default Fess Parker

As a kid growing in the 50s and 60s I became facinated with muzzeloading rifles and frontier life because of watching Fess playing the parts of Davy Crockett and Daniel Boon.
