Default Possibles Pouch for the Buttstock

What do you guys think about this for holding extra powder, bullets, patches, jags, etc....... I have found that Lane's tubes usually fit great in the rifle loops in most ammunition carriers. I was think about putting about three tubes of powder, one tube with three bullet/sabots, and a tube of primers on the outside loops and a few cleaning supplies in the zippered pocket. What are you guys using for easy access to your reloads. Any pics would be great.

I use the Lanes tubes also but I think that that bag would be a little to bulky for me to want to carry around in the woods, but to each his own.

Well the butt stock would make a great emergency survival place for some things, but the fact you need a screw driver in most cases to remove it would make it impractical for much else.

When I head out hunting, I have five tubes loaded with powder for what I might be hunting, and the rifle likes. The rifle is also loaded..

I then have;

if bird hunting- five tubes with measured shot, and an Altoids tin with the wads and over the shot cards I might need.

Deer hunting- I have one of lanes tubes with conical bullets in it (when hunting with my white rifle). One of lane's tubes with the projectiles I need for sabots. And then a few of the plastic sabots in my coat pocket. I always cap off a straight line or a dog bone capper that I keep in my left shirt pocket.

When I shoot patch and ball- I keep two tubes filled with the correct size ball. I then have a strip of already seasoned patch in a zip lock bag in my right coat pocket, and a patch knife and short starter in that pocket as well.

When I am going to be in a tree stand and it is cold- I put all of this is a fanny pack/hand warmer I got from Cabelas. I move the fanny pack around front, pop a chemical warmer into the center and tuck my hands in there. I can then sit in the tree with my hands nice and warm. Funny thing, if my hands are warm I am normally able to stand about anything. Of course I wear Sorel Dominator Boots. These are good to -100º and make winter cold real nice on my feet.
