What is your budget and what type of shooting does he do? Heavy woods, open fields, etc?

The T/C Triumph is a good general suggestion. If you are more budget-conscious, the CVA Apex.

OH Boy, here we go. How much do you love him? Ultimate Muzzle loader!!! MOA out to 400 yards, they are a bit pricey but man do they shoot. Get him one of those and the next gift you should get is 1 carat diamond.

Love my Omega. Though I could sure go for a shiney new Triumph. If it was going to be a dedicated ML, I'd rather not spend the money on an encore/pro hunter.

Not being a TC Guy and seeing you are, I'd get the Lucky Husband a Triumph. I had one for a Brief while and it was as they say. Mabey a (Bone Collector) or the (Full Camo) model. Im sure he'll be PLEASED and give you a Big Kiss seeing how Diamonds wont cut it.

You would be better off to get him to a sporting goods store where he could handle the different rifles and see which one fits him. If he has lots of center fire rifles and does not need the exchange a barrel feature of the Encore and such, then a Triumph, Omega or the Pro Hunter might be a good choice.

Are you going to scope the rifle? What kind of hunting does he do? But I will say, your one heck of a wife in my book!!
