Default Which peep would you go with and why?

Guys, I like using a peep sight. I find them more accurate and quicker than the standard buckhorn open sights. My question is, if you were to get one on your sidelock, which would you get?
I am looking at the Williams WGRS series that replaces the rear sight or the T/C Tang sight (for Hawken, Renegade, etc).
I think the closer to the eye (tang sight) may be quicker and easier to sight. Agree or disagree? Help me out.

The T/C Peep is a good peep. It mounts right up and is easy to use.

I have both an several others. I go with the ghost peep for hunting where I can not use a scope and the WGRS for target.

That's pretty much what I thought. Seems to me the WGRS peep, although a good peep for target shooting would be pretty difficult to pick up quickly unless the aperature was pretty big.
I think I'll go with the T/C
thanks

I've used the old T/C vernier tang sight, the T/C tang sight and (I think it was Williams) the Williams peep sight (it mounted to the tang).
The T/C vernier tang sight was perhaps the best as far as fine adjustment, but a bit fragile.
The T/C tang sight is rugged, but adjustments are not as precise (still plenty good for hunting, just not micro-adjustable)
The Williams tang sight was also very good as far as adjustment, but it's a bit bulky in my opinion.

For hunting or target shooting (not competition) I would pick the T/C tang sight. (matter of fact - I have one on my NewEnglander 12ga as a ghost ring sight for turkey hunting)

I like the hunter peep by t/c
here is one mounted on my 50 cal. flinter;I find the best position is about 1/2" behind the front tang screw,so 2 screws needed to be drilled and taped

Default Peep

I just put a Lyman aperture sight on my GPR. Why? It is made for the gun. Easy to install. Comes with two apertures - target and hunting.

On the WGRS, just remove the apeture on it and you will have a great ghost ring. I've used the WGRS on several rifles, Usually need to install a taller front sight with it and I have lost parts of it while hunting, nothing like pulling up your rifle to sight in 0n a nice tasty cow elk and find the peep sight upper carrage is gone!!!! And the range of elevation adjustment is some what limited on the WGRS. Other than that they are decent sights.

Just a tip, most any of the peep sights that have screw in apetures, if you remove the apeture they make a decent ghost ring. I do that to all my BP guns, my eyes can't focus at all on a small apeture so a ghost ring is the only way I can see. Save yourself some money and give it a try.

I have three of the Lyman 57 SML peeps on TC Renegades. They are a very accurate sight for target and hunting. The big thing I like about them is I can remove the slider and keep it in my pocket. When I see something I want to go after I put it in. When I take a range finder I can get the range and SET the sight FOR that yardage. I don't hold over or under I aim right at it. Some guys have a tough time seeing through them in low light. I don't have that problem I don't know why. I set mine up so I have marks from 50 yards out to 250, and 300 yards depending on the rifle.
I just started a new project. It will also have a Lyman 57 SML peep and a Lyman 17 AML globe front sight with Lee Shavers long range inserts.
Here is a picture of one of my rifles with the Lyman. Ron
