TC 50 cal Grey Hawk
At a local gun shop they have a used 50 cal. side hammer, TC Grey Hawk, SS, and synthetic stock for $150.
Does anyone know anything about this ml and is it worth buying? I dont want to spend my time and money on it if its not worth the effort.

if its mint id say its a good deal not a great one. its a solid gun and a good hunter. barrels and stocked actions usually go for 75$ and up each on ebay so you could always get your money back. its a thompson center so it will hold value.maybe try to offer a 100$ and see what happens. caplocks tend to sit on shelves these days. everyone is using an inline it seems.

I agree with Liquidorange. That's top dollar for a used Grayhawk. They are good guns though. My brother-in-law has one that shoots real well with Hornady 385 grain Great Plains conicals. I suspect you will walk out of there with the gun for $100 (OK, $110 
).

Used TC Grey Hawks in good condition sell for about $175 - $200 because they're stainless steel and not made anymore.
If a NIB Grey Hawk can be found they usually sell for even more.
One would need to be in fairly poor condition or up for sale in a pawn shop where the shaop owner didn't pay much for it to end up selling it for only $100 - $110.
$150 is a pretty fair price depending on its condition.
Congratulations if you can buy it for less.

I will have to give it a closer inspection before I buy. It sounds like if its in excellent condition the posted price isn't to far out of line. I am going to the shop today and make an offer.

I had a friend that owned a pawn shop. You would not believe the mark up on the stuff in there shops. What they buy it for and then sell if for is amazing. And if an item has been sitting too long, they are more then willing to get their money back out of it. He used to put the price he paid for it in code on the tag. Although I have looked at tag codes in other pawn shops and have not figured theirs out.

Went to the gun shop and they raised the price $40 and wouldn't come down . The ml is in great condition and probably worth the price but I am not giving them $40 more than they oridginally had on it two weeks ago. A few $ more and I can buy new.
