Default :( no apex .270

got an email from cva and they apologized but they sold out their supply of .270 barrels for the Apex. They did however say they have 30-06 barrels. I emailed back said, thats fine! They are processing my Apex order now and shipping it out. So i'll have a new Aught six / .50cal rifle to play with soon Cant wait for her to come in.

hmmm. good point! but either way, the 30-06 is a better set up. i was having a hard time deciding which one i wanted but they fixed it for me LOL. Looks like i will have to get an over the counter bull tag this year to make use of it.

You're goinna fall in love with that gun from the moment you pick it up. GRAF & SONS was the cheapest I could find APEX barrels. I bought my .243 barrel from them. I think all apex barrels were $275 if I'm not mistaken

Do they give the Bull Tags out that way, I thought they were through a Draw? I wish we had Elk Here, MMMMM it's sooooo Gooood, I've had it a few times. How much Meat do you get rom a average size Bull? And yes the 30-06 is a lot better choice.

it depends on what game unit. i live in unit 85 which is over the counter bull for certain rifle seasons. 2nd and 3rd season i believe are OTC. 3-400lbs of meat is what i'd expect from a bull down here. They'll fill up a deep freezer in no time. I think i may be able to fit 2 elk in the freezer that we have.

Let us know how you like the gun, I am looking into buying an Apex instead of a pro hunter simply because of cost...I have yet to feel one though, so that will be a factor to consider as well, but it looks well made and so far what I read is that it is good.

I'm sure MD's opinion on the rifle will be totally unbiased. NOT
